Richard D. Murray, M.D., is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and specializes in prenatal care, delivery, gynecologic surgeries and nonsurgical treatments. Recently, he created the Pregnancy Approved App, which allows users to scan or enter the Universal Product Code (UPC) of a trade name or generic brand of OTC medication to determine whether that product is physician-approved for pregnant women. The App’s database includes over 4,000 products typically found in approximately 86,000 stores that have been approved by board- certified practicing obstetricians.

Congratulations on being pregnant! From the beginning, it is ideal to establish healthy eating goals that include foods that provide the body needed vitamins and nutrients throughout each trimester.
